CUAV 2025 Recap: Raising the Bar for Heavy-Lift UAVs
This year’s Commercial UAV Expo in Las Vegas was one for the books. ASW was proud to exhibit our newly modernized Heavy Lift Multirotor (HLM) platforms, now formally available and better than ever. We also showcased our Drone Mod payload rails and the full lineup of PARASAFE™ drone parachute systems, rated for 10 kg, 25 kg, and 40 kg aircraft. From safety to scalability, we came ready to show the UAV industry what’s next.
Our booth was a hub of energy and innovation. We were thrilled to meet so many operators, fleet managers, integrators, and industry leaders throughout the show. It was a pleasure reconnecting with existing clients and partners while welcoming a host of new faces into the ASW ecosystem. Coverage by Sonoran Desert Institute and Uncrewed Systems Technology added some extra excitement, and we’re grateful for the continued recognition from respected voices in the field.

One of the biggest topics on everyone’s mind was NDAA compliance. With December’s regulatory enforcement approaching, the pressure is on to source platforms that are both safe and supply-chain transparent. ASW’s commitment to 100% U.S. manufacturing, backed by Nippon Kayaku, positions us as a partner you can trust, whether you’re flying over critical infrastructure or deploying systems for public safety.
We heard firsthand how demand is growing across industries:
-
Mining operators need tool delivery and sensor deployment at scale
-
Government agencies are searching for BVLOS-capable aircraft with certified parachutes
-
Infrastructure teams require reliable flight in challenging, remote conditions
-
Small businesses are exploring automation with drones as labor alternatives
-
Enterprise fleets are consolidating around flexible, multi-mission UAS platforms
This is exactly what the Drone Mod and HLM platform were built for. ASW provides operators with a launch point, not just a product. Our aircraft are payload-agnostic, field-serviceable, and modular by design, so you can adapt over time without being locked into rigid configurations.
From the compact ILM, perfect for R&D and training, to the best-in-class HLM Octo, we’re helping organizations scale up safely and efficiently, with parachute systems, integration support, and financing to match.
To everyone we met at CUAV, thank you. We look forward to seeing you next year.
Your missions inspire what we build.
Let’s keep the momentum going.
