Proven System
We engineer our PARASAFE® emergency drone parachute systems for industrial UAV applications and build them on more than a century of safety technology innovation. Building on this foundation, Nippon Kayaku, a global leader in automotive safety components such as airbag inflators and seatbelt pretensioners, developed the PARASAFE® system. As a result, the system leverages advanced energetic materials to deliver reliable deployment when it matters most.
Now available in three size classes 10kg, 25kg, and 40kg. Each drone parachute system optimizes descent speed to help protect people, property, and payloads during emergencies. We rigorously test every unit to meet or exceed ASTM safety guidelines.
Deployment
Each PARASAFE® drone parachute canister is integrated with our compact Manual Trigger System (MTS), which can be activated manually or linked to autonomous flight control systems. Upon anomaly detection, the system triggers a pyrotechnic actuator that rapidly deploys the parachute for controlled descent — even at low altitudes.
By using pyrotechnics rather than springs, PARASAFE® enables larger parachutes and faster deployment across all payload classes:
- 10kg System – Ideal for light commercial drones (up to 15kg support)
- 25kg System – Our flagship UAV parachute solution (up to 25kg support)
- 40kg System – Engineered for heavy-lift UAVs (up to 40kg support)
Easy Install
PARASAFE® systems are designed for simple installation and flexible integration across UAV platforms. Canisters can be mounted in various orientations, and our engineering team is available to assist with special configurations. Installation manuals and video tutorials are provided for smooth implementation.
